TWO IN TWO: Kings lose second consecutive game in a week

Published on: 17th September 2019   |   By: News Desk   |   Category: Kings Langley F.C

Kings Langley let a one nil lead slip tonight (September 17) as they lost 2-1 away to St Ives Town.

This makes it two loses in a week as Dean Barker’s side lost 0-2 to Hednesford Town on the weekend.

Kings started well and took an early lead after forward Charlie Ruff grabbed the away sides only goal of the game.

The scrappy game quickly got its second goal as a St Ives’ player crossed the ball in, which deflected off a Kings defender and found its way past Minter. 1-1 at the break.

Kings found themselves 2-1 down on the 60th minute from another scrappy goal – a lucky ricochet landed at Snelus’ feet who slotted it home.

The game ended 2-1 with Barker and his side hoping to improve their form in the next game against Folkestone Invicta in the FA Cup second qualifying round.
