A frame stylist from a Northwood and Rickmansworth opticians has scooped her first ever prestigious award at the 2019 Opticians Awards.
Sarah Neath of Lamertons Opticians came away with Frame Stylist of the Year at the award evening that took place at the Hilton London Metropole.
The 80’s themed black tie awards took place on Saturday, March 30, with Greatest Hits radio DJ, Pat Sharp, hosting.
Thrilled and excited, Sarah Neath felt extremely proud to have won after the immense effort she put into her application.
She said: “In my application I presented my social media campaign where clients used #SeeingTheNewYou along with photos of them wearing their new frames which I chose.
“The idea behind this was I wanted my clients to feel confident with their body image and improve their self-esteem.”
The award was sponsored by Transitions Lenses UK, and the criteria entailed an essay where applicants were asked what they do differently to other competitors and why they choose certain looks.
The first time winner said: “My aim is for my customers to leave the practice looking and feeling their best. I treat my clients like family, I’m so passionate and I care so much, this isn’t just a job for me.
“The award night was fantastic and I had so much fun, I was extremely relieved and overjoyed to have won, especially against the stiff competition I had.
