A television star and nature man will help launch a week-long festival this summer.
Chris Packham, known for his work on Springwatch, will launch the Bushey Festival at the end of June.
After a year’s break, the festival is back with a programme celebrating art, music and entertainment within the community.
The event will kick off on June 30 where Mr Packham will speak at the Bushey Academy. The festival will then run until July 8.
Featuring a range of events including a Family Trail, Woodside Morris Men, Flower Festival, Art Exhibition and music and sports, there really is something for everyone.
Chairman of the Bushey Festival, Steve Francis, said: “We’re delighted Chris has agreed to come to Bushey. His passion for wildlife and environmental protection appeals to people of all ages and he complements the aims of the festival really well.
“It’s clear from our survey that we all want to live in a safe, happy and healthy community and that it’s something that begins in our own homes, neighbourhood and green spaces.”
The week will be rounded off with a free Festival in the Park, in King George recreation ground.
