Detectives in Watford are appealing for the public’s assistance following a serious assault in Watford.
It is reported that between 8.15pm and 8.49pm on Tuesday, September 17, the victim, a man aged in his 40s, was stood outside his home address on Queens Avenue when he was approached by the suspect.
The suspect is described as a man of Asian background, wearing a white t-shirt and blue jeans. He approached the victim and an altercation occurred.
It is reported that the suspect struck the victim a number of times with what is believed to be a baseball bat, causing serious injuries which required hospital treatment.
Detective Sergeant Andy Metselaar, from the Watford Local Crime Unit, said: “We have been conducting a number of enquiries since this report was made to us. Following the extensive review of CCTV footage, we understand there were a number of people in the area at the time of the incident who may have information that could assist with our investigation and are yet to speak to police.
“I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any information that could help us with our enquiries, to please get in contact.”
