Abbots Langley residents John and Kay have celebrated two major milestones this year.
The couple marked their diamond wedding anniversary in September, as well as 50 years of living in the village.
Moving to Abbots Langley in December 1975, they recall the early days without a car, which meant long walks home from work.
They share a love of travel and have visited Sweden, Spain, New Zealand, and many more, often with their children, Lynne, Jenny and Steven.
Speaking to ABBOTSnews, John said: “We are proud of the life we’ve built and are looking forward to the next chapter of our journey.
“A heartfelt thank you to all our children, grandchildren, family, neighbours, especially Lee and Alecia, and to Councillor Dawn Allen-Williamson for helping to make this day truly unforgettable.”
