A St Albans make-up artist has been voted as a finalist in two of the UK’s most prestigious beauty competitions.
Eva Hewitt, founder of EH Permanent Makeup in St Albans, was nominated for The UK Hair and Beauty Awards 2025 and The GB Beauty Awards, in the categories of Best for Brows and Semi-Permanent Artist of the Year 2025 respectively.
Competing against some of the most talented artists in the industry, reaching the finals in both categories is a dream come true for Eva.
Originally a dental nurse, Eva knew she wanted a career that combined creativity with making a real difference in people’s lives. Three years ago, she trained with one of the best permanent make-up artists in the UK, marking the beginning of her journey in the beauty industry.
She told STALBANSnews: “Seeing the smile on my clients’ faces after their transformation is truly priceless.”
Entering these competitions has been an exciting way for Eva to push herself and showcase her work on a national level.
The UK Hair and Beauty Awards finals will take place in Birmingham on Saturday, August 30, while the GB Beauty Awards winners will be announced in September.
Eva added: “I am beyond excited and so proud to be a finalist. Representing St Albans in these national competitions is an honour, and I hope to bring home the win!”
