The trial over the murder of a 15-year-old Bushey School boy will begin on April 3, BusheyNews understands.

Koy Bentley, who was a student at Queens School, died from a fatal stab wound to the chest inside a flat in Water Lane, Watford where he lived on Monday June 5, 2017.

Officers were called to the address at around 2.30pm by the ambulance service. Sadly, despite the efforts of paramedics, Koy died at the scene.

Speaking at the time, one neighbour, who did not want to be named, said:  “I am not surprised.  There is always trouble in that flat.”

After the incident, floral tributes to Koy were left at the scene by his friends who described him as a joker and the baby of the group. Bottles of Ribena and Lucozade were also left in his memory. Candles were also left outside the block of flats where Koy was stabbed.

The trial will take place at St Albans Crown Court.
