Chorleywood Cricket Club (CWCC) has just finished one of the club’s most successful seasons in its long history.
Victories and achievements came for several teams across the age groups, who have been celebrating what’s been an extraordinary year.
The club’s 1st and 2nd teams both finished their seasons at the top of their divisions in the Saracens Herts League, with the sides being promoted to the league’s first division and division 3B respectively.
On the younger side of things, the under 9s team also managed to enjoy a remarkable completely unbeaten run throughout the entire cricket season.
Nigel Tyler, cricket manager at CWCC and captain of the club’s 3rd XI, said: “2022 was by far the most successful season I have seen since joining the club in 1993.
“What made it most pleasing was the huge part played, across all the teams, by so many current, recent, and not so recent Chorleywood Colts proving success can begin at home!”
The club is now looking forward to the completion of construction of their new clubhouse on Chorleywood Common, organised in cooperation with local learning disability employment charity, Mission EmployAble. The new building and café is set to open later this year.
