A former deputy head girl at Northwood College for Girls was recently recognised for her activism in menstrual health.
Anvi Gupta was shortlisted in the Young Star category at the 2023 Women of the Future Awards, which took place on Wednesday, November 15.
After graduating from the college this year, Anvi has gone on to do extensive fundraising for campaign group Bloody Good Period. She has also become a youth ambassador for menstruation rights organisation Period Power.
Anvi has also recently completed an internship with period underwear company WUKA, where she led the PR for their campaign to remove VAT from their products.
Posting on her LinkedIn profile shortly after the event, Anvi said: “Yesterday marked a truly unforgettable moment for me.
“At just age 18, to have met and celebrated the achievements of such inspirational women across various fields – from entrepreneurs to activists, scientists to sporting women – was an absolute thrill and honour.”
