Local boxing hero Anthony Joshua swung by the first ever business to sponsor him last week to say hello to their staff.
Watford’s two-time former unified world heavyweight champion visited Clayton Estate Agents’ office at 4 Garston Park Parade last week, much to the delight of their employees.
While he was there, he spotted a copy of GARSTONnews’ January edition – which he just so happened to be on the cover of!
That’s because just a few weeks ago, we covered the boxing star’s appearance at a party in Meriden Community Centre for local families.
David Clayton, managing director of Claytons Estate Agents, said AJ was “chuffed” when he saw himself on the cover.
This is by no means the first time Joshua has received support from a local business – that honour goes to Claytons themselves, who had their name emblazoned across his shirt back when he used to play for Garston Boys FC!
