A defence barrister and ex-boxer from Gerrards Cross has published a new espionage thriller.
On the evening of February 16, Gerrards Cross Bookshop was packed to the rafters as locals came together to celebrate the launch of Tony Kent’s new thriller, The Shadow Network, which is the fifth book in his bestselling series.
The books feature intelligence agent Joe Dempsey and criminal defence barrister Michael Devlin grappling with a shadowy organisation determined to overthrow the world order.
Speaking to CHALFONTS&GERRARDSCROSSnews, Tony said: “Writing is my escape from law. People expect I’ll write about gritty legal things, but I live these gritty issues every day so I don’t write about them.”
Tony is also the co-founder of the Chiltern Kills crime writing festival, which took place for the first time in October of last year. The next festival is expected to be held at Colston Hall in Gerrards Cross on Saturday, October 5.
The Shadow Network is available to buy online and from Waterstones.
