Kings Langley FC left it late to steal all three points from AFC Rushden and Diamonds evening (December 7) as the club were victorious for the first time in their last seven games.
The Lango got off to a good start at the Orbital Fasteners Stadium as Jordan Parkes and Mitchell Weiss got some shots on goal but their finishing was not up to scratch.
It was a fairly contested first half but it lacked quality from both sides. The Diamonds were threatening at times but not enough to cause Kings any trouble.
The second half was all to play for as the goalless first half did show some signs that one team would eventually take three points.
That, fortunately, landed to The Lango in the 80th minute as a deep cross was whipped in from the left, it was headed down by Gary Connolly where Parkes was waiting to fire it into the back of the net from close range.
The three points mean the club sit in 16th position with 21 points. Their next fixture is on Saturday, December 14 where the travell to 13th positioned Stourbridge.
