Watford FC are continuing their commitment to sustainability with a number of eco-friendly initiatives.
The club unveiled their new away kit for the 2025/26 season last month, with the shirt made from recycled polyester. They are donating 50p from every away shirt sold to the Your Tree, Our Future council programme, meaning a new tree will be planted for every three away shirts sold.
Watford FC have also partnered with The Wildlife Trust to undertake an ecological survey of their training ground in London Colney. Following this, a long-term management plan will suggest ideas for both short- and long-term ideas to support local ecology.
Bat boxes, owl boxes, insect hotels and beehives have already been installed, as well as 30 staff-made bird boxes.
Recently, Watford were ranked fourth out of 24 in the Sports Positive Leagues table, which recognises clubs based on their environmental and social impact. The club are aiming to be net-zero by 2040.
