St Albans Postboxes’ have broken the Guinness World Record for the largest display of postbox toppers in one place.
From postmen to elves, and from mice to pigs, the knitted creations brought much joy to the city this Christmas.
The record reads: “The largest display of textile postbox toppers is 102 and was achieved by Clare Suttie, Candy Stuart, Lucy Dronfield and St Albans Postboxes (all UK) in St Albans.”
The group have, at the time of writing, raised £28,043.90 – surpassing their goal of £28,000. The money will be shared between Gaddesden Place Riding for the Disabled and Up On Downs.
They took to Facebook to share the good news, saying: “The whole team are so excited and proud to be Guinness World Record breakers!”
