The winners of Strictly Come Hospice were crowned at Watersmeet in Rickmansworth on Friday January 24, at an event which raised £47,000.

The Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care glitterball was awarded to dance partners Emma Kosh, an interior designer from St Albans, and Jo Campbell-Kent, an executive assistant from Croxley.

Emma Stewart, events manager at Rennie Grove Peace Hospice Care, said: “Every penny raised by this event will be used to fund vital hospice care in our community. We need to raise over £17,000 every single day just to keep our patient services running, so events like this are vital.”

To take part, the dancers needed to raise at least £600 in sponsorship then undergo a gruelling 10 weeks of professional dance tuition.

Emma and Jo were named the winners for their cha cha to the Spice Girls’ hit Spice up Your Life.

Jo said: “I’m so glad I took part and I’m proud of how much money we’ve all raised for an incredible local charity.”
