THANKFUL: Shenley Primary School putting generous donations to great use

Published on: 22nd July 2021   |   By: Jake Levison   |   Category: Uncategorized

Shenley Primary School has thanked donors for their help during the pandemic and hopes that more funding will further support its pupils’ education.

A spokesperson for the school said: “What another different year this has been. Like many other schools, Shenley Primary has come to the end of a mixed year, with almost a term of learning from home and the continuation of keeping separate during each school day.

“Over this academic year and with generous financial help from both the PTA and local parish council, we have been delighted with the installation of a new library (pictured), and this is something again that we are very much hoping to fully enjoy come the new academic year.

“Shenley has been extremely grateful to receive donations from outside organisations such as local company, Gristwood and Toms, to help with the Early Years Foundation Stage outdoor area, and also the Borehamwood Spiritual Centre.

“The school also received a fantastic amount of sponsorship from many local companies for its Easter Hopathon, and again the children and staff were blown away by the generosity of the community.

“If you are interested in supporting Shenley Primary School to help purchase additional Chromebooks to further support learning, please do get in touch and we will be happy to give you more information about how your support could help.

“If there are there any old boys or girls who benefitted in the past from their education at the school and would like to contribute, please contact Michael@shenley.herts.sch.uk”
