Staff at a Chorleywood care home were treated to a party during National Carers Week last week.
Carers Week, June 5 to June 11, is an annual event to raise awareness of the challenges carers face, and recognising the contribution they make to people throughout the UK.
Chorleywood Beaumont staff were celebrated with a party as residents wanted to thank them for all their hard work and dedication. A spread of food was laid out with family and friends invited to join in the fun.
Resident Ambassador Harold gave thanks in a speech and presented carers with a small gift of thanks for all that they do.
John, a resident at Chorleywood Beaumont commented: “We’ve all had such a lovely time today, it really is a joy to be able to thank our wonderful carers for all that they do. They really are fantastic and look after us so well.”
General manager Ramona Stanciu said: “It is so wonderful to thank our fantastic carers with a party in our garden, and to be able to welcome the community, relatives, and friends. Everyone has had such a fantastic day.”
