A fundraising page set up to support BBC broadcaster John Hunt and his daughter Amy has surpassed its target of £100,000.
Carol Hunt, 61, and daughters Louise, 25, and Hannah, 28, died at their home in Ashlyn Close, Bushey, on Tuesday, July 9. An inquest concluded on Tuesday, July 30, that Carol was stabbed to death, while Hannah and Louise were killed by injuries caused by a crossbow bolt.
Suspect Kyle Clifford, 26, who is Louise’s ex-boyfriend, was found injured in Enfield following a police manhunt and was arrested on suspicion of three counts of murder.
Horse racing broadcaster Matt Chapman launched the fundraiser for John and Amy on Saturday, July 13, with the Hunt family’s blessing.
He started the fundraiser so the family would be able to “get through life without financial worries”.
In a post on X, Mr Chapman said: “Everyone who has dug so deep in such financially challenging times, thank you. Every donation is special.”
A statement released by John and Amy said: “The devastation that we are experiencing cannot be put into words. We would like to thank people for their kind messages and for the support we have received.”
