Four people were jailed at Reading Crown Court on Friday, October 10, after pleading guilty to stabbing a man in a residential address in Watford last year.

On July 24, 2024, a man aged in his 20s was stabbed in Brocklesbury Close, Watford. He has since recovered from his injuries.

At the beginning of the trial, the four offenders pleaded guilty to GBH with intent and possession of a bladed article.

Emmanjuel Nyamutenha, now aged 19 and of King Georges Avenue, Watford, was sentenced to nine years and six months in prison.

Desmond Bonato, aged 19 and of Raphael Drive, Watford, was sentenced to nine years and six months in prison.

A 17-year-old boy from London and a 17-year-old boy from Kent, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were sentenced to six years and four months in prison.

Detective Inspector Michael Ball, who led the investigation, said: “The level of violence shown in this incident has absolutely no place in Hertfordshire.

“The team worked hard to capture evidence and ensure these dangerous individuals are not on our streets for a considerable time. I am pleased that the sentences reflect the seriousness of their actions and hope this brings reassurance to the residents of Watford.”
