Local golfers recently came together for golf fundraiser has successfully raised almost £40,000 for a hospice in Northwood.
The fundraiser which was held on June 17 at the Sandy Lodge Golf Club was well attended and raised almost £39,000 for the Michael Sobell Hospice.
A spokesperson for the hospice wanted to thank everyone who attended the event or took part in the online raffle.
They said: “Huge thanks to everyone who attended and supported last Thursday’s annual Golf Day fundraiser in aid of Michael Sobell Hospice, at the picturesque Sandy Lodge Golf Club – the rain held off (for most of the day anyway), and great fun was had by all.
“Over £39,000 was raised from the event which included an online raffle.
“The Michael Sobell Hospice fundraising team would like to thank everyone who took part on the event, including the volunteers, and all the businesses who kindly helped with sponsorship.”
