Multiple roads in central Watford were closed this morning during a police incident that ended in the arrested of a wanted man.
According to information provided to WATFORDnews by Hertfordshire Constabulary, officers attended an address in Farraline Road at 9:35am, Monday, February 14 as part of their enquiries to arrest the 35-year-old suspect.
The man attempted to escape police by climbing onto the roof and reportedly throwing objects at them.
As a result, multiple roads were closed to allow emergency service vehicles such as fire engines and ambulances to get through and help bring the situation to a safe conclusion.
Eventually, the man was arrested at the scene, being taken into police custody after receiving treatment from the attending paramedics for some minor injuries. The road closures were lifted at 11:32am.
The identity of the suspect is currently unknown as well as what particular crime he was being arrested for.
