SURGERY SURVEY: NHS survey shows patient experience at Amersham GPs

Published on: 17th August 2022   |   By: Darius Morgan   |   Category: Uncategorized

The results are in for the annual nationwide NHS survey that asks patients to answer questions about their experiences at their local GPs.

Amersham Health Centre (AHC) scored well in ‘Overall Experience’, with 80% of patients answering good or better, which is 8% higher than the average across England. The AHC did, however, have poor results elsewhere, with only 47% of patients saying that it was easy to get through to the surgery on the phone.

The Rectory Meadow Surgery in Amersham performed better in both of these areas, with 86% having a good overall experience and 84% finding it easy to get through on the phone.

But how does Amersham compare to centres in the surrounding areas? 54% of patients said their overall experience at the Little Chalfont Surgery was good, and just 27% said their experience of making an appointment was good.

The Water Meadow Surgery in Chesham scored better, with 99% saying they felt their needs were met at their last appointment.

AHC, Rectory Meadow Surgery, Little Chalfont Surgery and Water Meadow have been contacted for comment.
