The Perfume Shop’s pop-up perfume van hit the road once again to surprise key workers in Watford and Rickmansworth to thank them for their continuous hard work over the pandemic.

‘Vera the Van’ arrived outside the Avenue Clinic in Watford on December 21, surprising 10 Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT) nursing staff with perfume gifts to say thank you for their service to the local community.

Vera later continued to St John’s Catholic Primary School in Rickmansworth, delighting teachers and support staff by presenting them with perfume gift bundles to thank them for their efforts.

Lucinda Lee, store manager for The Perfume Shop Watford, commented: “The Perfume Shop team really wanted to make the hard-working staff at Watford and Three Rivers and St John’s Primary School feel like VIPs this Christmas.

“It’s been a hard year and we wanted to show them how much we appreciate them and the work they do for our community during this difficult time.”

Nicola O’Brien, deputy head at St John’s School said: “The staff really appreciated all the lovely gifts. One of the MSAS (midday supervisors) said it made her feel emotional. So, thank you for bringing some Christmas cheer and some joy to us all.”

Racheal Conway, practice teacher, Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT) said, “The team and I would like to say a big thank you for your kindness today. It significantly brightened up our day – much appreciated!”
