SUPER STARS: Bushey school students ‘excel’ on results day

St Margaret’s in Bushey is celebrating its students A-Level results today (Thursday, August 14) during what has been another busy academic year for Year 13 students.

The school were extremely proud to announce that 14 per cent of all grades were awarded at A* and 63 per cent of grades achieved were A* to B.

As the school bids a fond farewell to its Year 13 students, many have secured places at top universities in some of the very best institutions in the country, including Cambridge, Exeter and Durham.

An impressive 23 per cent of A-Level students achieved A*-A grades across all of their subjects.

One standout highlight is Lili who achieved A*AA in English Literature, History and Latin, and will be studying History this September at Clare College, Cambridge.

Head at St Margaret’s School, Lara Péchard, commented on the student’s success: “It has been another busy year for our Year 13 cohort, but as usual, they have risen to the challenge with resilience, courage and a focused approach to their studies.

“This year we have seen students excel in their A-Level results, with many securing top grades and that is testament to their determination and positive work ethic.

“It has been a privilege to support this year’s cohort with their future pathways and we wish them every success for the future.”

This year, 70 per cent of pupils secured places at their first-choice university – including prestigious Russell Group institutions such as Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, and Warwick – and will be studying a wide range of subjects from Classics and English Literature to Creative Writing, Fine Art, and Psychology.
