Promising step forward as musical group change ‘outdated’ name

Published on: 28th February 2017   |   By: The Newsdesk   |   Category:

Kings Langley Light Opera Company KLLOC has changed its name to Kings Langley Musical Theatre Company (KLMTC) to reflect its more modern approach to musical productions.

Martin Wolmark, the chairman of KLMTC, told KingsNews: “The decision to change the name of the group was not taken lightly, but it was clear that this name had become outdated, as it has been over 25 years since we have staged any operatic production.”

Their next production is 9 to 5 The Musical, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton, at Kings Langley Community Centre from Wednesday, March 29 to Saturday, April 1.

Tickets and further details are available from either the group’s website or the phone the box office on 01442 268839.
