SUPER SATURDAY: Music crawl returns to Bushey for the second year

Published on: 3rd March 2020   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

The public Bushey Music Crawl featuring nine live acts in six venues returned for the second year recently.

Beginning at lunchtime at the Three Crowns, a happy crowd followed the sound of music from pub to pub finishing in the Red Lion.

An impressive number of followers visited all venues and were rewarded with a certificate.

The Crawl’s finale took place with simultaneous performances from Back 2 Square 1 in the Red Lion and Heath back in the Three Crowns.

Other performers included Festival favourites, Missing the Ferry and Sanchia along with new acts, including a debut performance by Pete Elliot’s Guitar School.

There was a great atmosphere throughout the day with large audiences crowding into all venues.

Event organiser Liz Collins said, “We were delighted by the response. The aim was to raise funds for and awareness of the main Festival in the summer but it was equally important to support showcase local musicians and support our high street pubs. Thanks to the generosity of the public and the local pubs and bars, nearly £850 was raised which will go towards putting on the ‘Festival in the Park’ on Sunday 5th July in King George Recreation Ground.”

Bushey Festival 2020 begins on June 27 and is expected to be bigger and better but your help is needed.

To be a truly community celebration, community groups are invited to put on events, performers to appear on stages, stallholders and food traders to apply and volunteers to help in any way they can.
