This summer, the Harlequin in Watford is taking centre stage with an exciting line-up of free family-friendly fun, launching on Saturday, July 26, and running throughout August.
Marking its first summer under the returning Harlequin name, the centre is bringing the community together with The Green, an inviting social hub in Charter Place. The Green offers an inclusive, feel-good summer day out, with selected days each week featuring interactive activities.
Highlights include:
Movie Mondays – Kick off the week with fun, popular family films, and reminisce on blockbuster favourites as they return to the big screen.
Win Wednesdays – Feeling lucky? Shoppers can enjoy an interactive spin-the-wheel game to get their hands on a variety of exciting giveaways from 11am to 4pm weekly.
Craft Thursdays – Let little ones explore their imaginations with a different craft activity each week. From handmade creations to creative masterpieces, there’s plenty to take home and treasure.
Summer Beats Saturday – From Saturday, August 2, enjoy the sounds of the summer every Saturday with live music and DJs on the main stage. Musicians will perform acoustic sets from 11am to 12:30pm, followed by guest DJs delivering chilled-out summer vibes from 1pm to 6pm.
The centre’s dedicated Summer Social zone, The Green, will also feature a relaxing seating area, complete with comfy deckchairs amid green surroundings.
Families can also take part in an interactive QR trail, with codes hidden around the centre that spell out a secret word. Everyone who completes the trail will be entered into a weekly draw for the chance to win an exciting store giveaway like family vouchers for Flip Out or £50 gift card from MINISIO.

The free workshops will be located in Charter Place, opposite Puttshack. Booking is not required.
