A summer camp in Bushey was shut down after a man was arrested on suspicion of possessing indecent images of minors. The privately run, LL Camps, based at St Margaret’s School, is an American style summer camp. It was closed on Thursday, August 6, while police carry out an investigation. In a joint statement, Hertfordshire County Council and Hertfordshire Constabulary confirmed LL Camps had been suspended by Ofsted. It read: “A 25-year-old man from Borehamwood has been arrested on suspicion of possession of indecent images of children and has been bailed until September. “Hertfordshire Constabulary, Hertfordshire County Council and Ofsted are working together on this issue and the safety and welfare of children is the top priority. “Swift action will be taken should the investigation reveal that any child has been affected and families will be contacted direct.” St Margaret’s School said in a statement: “St Margaret’s School has no links to this summer camp except to hire out a part of the Sports Centre site to them over the holiday periods. “We have no involvement with the administration or running of the camp in any form, nor do we have communication with the parents or children participating at the camp. This summer camp is entirely non-related to the school and is no longer operational on the Sports Centres’ premises.” If you do have any specific concerns about how your child, contact Hertfordshire County Council on Telephone 0300 123 4043 and ask to make a referral to Children’s Services.
