Watford FC manager Vladimir Ivic has been named as the Sky Bet Championship Manager of the Month for November after an unbeaten period with three wins and two draws.
The month started with two home victories, both with the score line of 3-2, coming against Stoke City and Coventry City respectively. Two draws followed against QPR and Bristol City away from home, before ending the month on a high with a convincing 4-1 victory over Preston North End.
Ivic, who won the award ahead of Daniel Farke, Dean Holden and Tony Mowbray, said: “It is very important for all of us. This is the work of my players and without them, it is impossible to be Manager of the Month.
“I would also like to thank the coaching staff that worked with me through this really strong period and it is important that we continue now.
“I cannot choose one game that stands out, because we had games where we had to survive to win – against Coventry and Stoke for example – and I believe that all of the games are a separate story.”
Watford forward Joao Pedro was also nominated for the Player of the Month award but lost out to Bournemouth player David Brooks.
Watford FC have started December with mixed results so far, after drawing with Nottingham Forest, losing to Cardiff and beating Rotherham.
Up next for the Hornets is an away trip to St Andrew’s to face Birmingham City, where a victory could potentially put them in the automatic promotion spots.
