A dance academy in Chalfont St Peter has teamed up with a charity for a routine which they recently performed at a regional festival.
Pips Dance Academy was formed in 2019 by husband-and-wife duo Scott and Pippa to provide dance training to people of all ages and abilities.
Last year, Pippa approached Juliet Diene, founder and chief executive officer of icandance, a charity which teaches disabled children and young people how to dance. Pippa asked if there was anything they could do to support the charity.
Dancers from Pips Dance Academy and icandance took part in joint sessions to create the piece, called Stronger Together.
They submitted their performance as a video audition and were then selected for the U Dance London Regional Festival at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance on February 25.
Maddison, head girl at Pips Dance Academy, said: “One thing I have learnt is that there are people from different walks of life and when the music comes on, we all do the same thing; we may do it differently but we feel like we come together as one.”
