STRIKE WATCH: Industrial action to impact Chiltern Metropolitan line services next week

Published on: 5th January 2024   |   By: News Bulletin   |   Category: Uncategorized

Chiltern Railways is warning customers travelling on its Metropolitan line services between Aylesbury and London via Amersham that their journey will likely be affected due to industrial action by London Underground staff next week (January 7-12).

The impact of the strike action by London Underground staff on Chiltern Railways will differ each day due to the nature of the action, where different teams are taking action on different days.

Chiltern’s Metropolitan line trains to Aylesbury via Amersham operate on London Underground infrastructure which is controlled and signalled by London Underground staff. For this reason, timetables will be heavily amended next week.

All other Chiltern Railways services will operate as normal, including services between Aylesbury and London Marylebone (via High Wycombe), with some additional services in place along this route to support customers who wish to travel between Aylesbury and London.
