A car was stolen from Stationers Place, Hemel Hempstead, between 6pm on Tuesday, September 3, and 7.50am on Wednesday, September 4.
The victim left his vehicle locked and secured in a hotel car park at the location before it was stolen. The vehicle is a Toyota Hilux, which was found and recovered by police today (Thursday, September 5).
Police are asking for people with any information relating to this crime or if anyone may have captured relevant footage on CCTV or doorbell cameras, to please contact them on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime number 41/73560/24.
They have also asked residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activity in the area.
They also have been sharing tips on how to prevent vehicle crime such as never leaving valuables in cars, storing ownership documents away from the car, and securing number plates with anti-theft screws.
