STOLEN GOODS: Police investigate four burglaries in St Albans

Detectives are investigating four burglaries which took place in St Albans last weekend (Saturday, February 24, and Sunday, February 25).

At around 8pm on Saturday, a designer bag, cash and jewellery were stolen from an address in Ely Road (crime reference 41/16036/24).

Cash and jewellery were stolen from an address in Glenferrie Road between 9am on Saturday and 3.45pm on Sunday (crime reference 41/16041/24).

A third burglary occurred just after 9pm on Saturday in Brampton Road, where cash and jewellery were also stolen (crime reference 41/15847/24).

Between 2pm on Saturday and 2pm on Sunday, a fourth address was burgled in Campfield Road (crime reference 41/16205/24).

Detective Sergeant Paul Wadsworth, from the St Albans Local Crime Unit, said: “We are investigating all four burglaries, which we believe are linked. We have carried out house-to-house enquiries. We would also like to hear from anyone who may have captured anyone acting suspiciously around the time of these burglaries at the weekend on their doorbell cameras or CCTV.

“We would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered jewellery for sale at a low price since the weekend.”
