Tony Franks, the captain of Hartsbourne Country Club in Bushey, has set out on a mission to raise £50,000 for a local school.
Any money raised will go towards a Variety Golf Sunshine Coach for Haywood School Grove in Hemel Hempstead, which caters for primary-aged children who have extremely complex needs.
Tony will be leading multiple events to bring the community together for this brilliant cause.
On Thursday, May 29, residents were invited to “come and play amongst the stars” at a Celebrity Golf Day, featuring the likes of Ossie Ardiles, Pat Jennings CBE and Glenn Hoddle.
There is also an opportunity to take part in the Captain’s Charity Raffle, with the first prize including two tickets to Tina the Musical or Mamma Mia! and drinks with choreographer Anthony Van Laast CBE at The Delaunay.
The second prize is a Hob Salons £200 gift voucher and £100 voucher for Village Wine Bushey.
