Stanmore’s Bentley Priory Museum is bringing alive the 1940s with a Battle of Britain themed day this Saturday. The family friendly event on Saturday will offer Lindy Hop Demonstrations, RAF re-enactments and vintage motor vehicles. Eleanor Pulfer, the museum director commented: “The day will be a great day for all ages; with so many activities going it is a great opportunity for people who have never visited the museum to come along. “It offers a chance for people to explore the new exhibition galleries as well as join in the fun activities; people who have been before have the opportunity to see the museum in a new light.” The event will run from 10am until 5pm and people are welcome to dress up in 1940s attire. Admission to the museum cost £9 for adults, £5 for children aged six to 16 and £7 for concessions. There are also family tickets available for two adults and up to three children for £25.
