Get your space helmets on as Kings Langley is about to be invaded by aliens!

After the release of their song MASH in November, No Rest For The Spacemen have had endless out-of-this-world moments.

The band – made up of Kings Langley residents Charlie Parker on vocals and rhythm guitar and Dan Beling on lead guitar, alongside Daniel Wood on the drums and bassist Alex Brunt – have been busy performing gigs across Hertfordshire and London.

Now with nearly 30,000 streams on Spotify, MASH has become a steady favourite among fans, even being played before games at Watford FC’s stadium.

Speaking to KINGSnews, Dan said: “I have been a season ticket holder for 20 years so it feels weird – really weird – to hear our music blasting through the speakers surrounded by my family.”

Their hit song even featured on BBC Music Introducing, a platform for unsigned artists. The band said they are “very proud and thankful”.

Back in the studio, the band’s newest song, The C.P. Classic, will be released on Friday, March 14.

An emotional indie ballad, the song is a little different to the band’s previous songs.

Residents will be over the moon to hear they can listen to the song live at a special gig at The Old Palace in Kings Langley at 7pm on Saturday, May 17.

Dan shared: “One of our biggest focuses this year is to help the local music scene grow. It is always nice to have the same few faces at our gigs.”
