St Margaret’s new head

Rose Hardy head at St Margaret's source RHA new headteacher has vowed to strongly lead a Bushey school into a new era that has seen a lot of key development finish recently. Rose Hardy became headteacher at St Margaret’s School, in Merry Hill Road, at the beginning of the new school term on September 1. Mrs Hardy told My Bushey News that the school had a lot of work done over the summer and she was delighted to be starting in an exciting time at the school. She said: “I was appointed to take up the role of headteacher on September 1 and am really excited about the new projects that have recently happened. “We have had all weather pitches, an art studio and a humanities hub installed over the summer and phase two is move our junior department from the prep site to the main site.” Mrs Hardy added that the school has many benefits, including its beautiful setting. She added: “The school is set in 74 acres and considering how close we are to Watford and Harrow we have some of the most glorious grounds and it is a wonderful environment in which to work and study.” Mrs Hardy, who was previously at St Albans School for 10 years as a Second Master (Deputy Head), said the transition has been very easy thanks to not having to move house and heaped praise on the pupils and staff at the school. “I have a fantastic team of staff here and it genuinely is a really exciting time to be here at St Margaret’s and my job is to now drive it forward. “The pupils are also fantastic and so positive and it will be great to see the girls excel in a relaxed ans supportive environment.
