A special Easter performance from a group of schoolchildren was a lovely holiday treat for both residents and staff members at the Chorleywood Beaumont care home.

Pupils at the Russel School from years one to six, led by music teacher Christine Deeley, performed a selection of classic songs all who were there enjoyed, with songs such as “When the Saints go Marching In” and various hits from groups such as the Beatles.

Donned in Easter bonnets, the schoolkids charmed residents, who sung, clapped and danced along with them. A full spread of sweet and savoury treats was also provided by the home’s hospitality team for guests to enjoy during the performance.

Hilary Gullet, who is a retired teacher and current resident at Chorleywood Beaumont said: “I haven’t heard some of these songs in many years. The classics never go out of style!”

“It was such a wonderful afternoon and bought back fond memories of my many years of teaching at Chalfont Primary School.”

Lifestyle Coordinator, Helen Abbott said, “Our residents and guests had a wonderful day singing along with the wonderful performers.

“We do our best to provide a wide range of activities and entertainment at Chorleywood Beaumont as part of the lifestyle enrichment programme for residents, and this was one of our favourites!”
