As the summer season continues, Pinner Lawn Tennis Club is delighted to reflect on the successes of the season.
This year saw more than 50 entries for the fun season opener and Wimbledon Grand Slam event in July. The club also had nine teams playing in the Middlesex Summer League which finished at the end of July.
Club chairman Paul Brazell said: “We have won two league titles – the Men’s 3rd team Division 2 and Ladies 2nd team Division 3, and we have at least four promotion parties to plan as well!
“This will probably be our most successful year. But it’s not all about the tennis; we will definitely be having some social time too!
“Our coaching team have been amazing and our developing junior members have made great progress, gaining places in many of the senior teams and taking some big wins in the early rounds of our 14 club tournaments, with players from 12 to 80 years of age taking part.”
The internal club tournaments are currently at the quarter-final stage, with the finals weekend on September 2 and 3, which anyone can attend and watch from 11am each day.
