SPOOKTASTIC: Museum’s Halloween Spectacular returns to Chalfont St Giles after four-year absence

Published on: 21st October 2023   |   By: Annabel Stock   |   Category: Uncategorized

The Halloween Spectacular at Chiltern Open Air Museum in Chalfont St Giles returns later this month after a four-year hiatus.

From 5pm to 9pm on Friday, October 27, the museum will open its doors for a ‘spooktacular’ family Halloween event that will see the historic buildings decorated for Halloween and lots of fun family activities.

This popular event has not been able to take place since 2019 due to the pandemic and complications with the site’s landowners last year.

This year, however, the event has been given the green light to go ahead.

There will be a fire breather and a spooky horse, and treats can be found by visiting some of the historic houses before toasting marshmallows and listening to ghost stories around the fire.

Around the museum grounds, there will be Halloween-themed crafts, activities and games for the whole family to enjoy, while those feeling brave enough can explore the scary walk.

Hot food and drinks will be available to purchase on the night, and both children and adults are encouraged to dress up.
