A dad from Hemel Hempstead made sure to plan an epic 10th birthday for his son and organised a socially distanced car show for him.
Oliver, who celebrated his birthday on June 5, was originally meant to go for a Lamborghini drive but he sadly had to cancel the plan because of the pandemic.
His dad, Kevin Ramsbottom, had to quickly come up with an alternative way to celebrate and decided to try his luck by asking local car owners to have a meet and bring their cars at the parking lot at Gadebridge park.
Kevin, speaking about the day and the amazing response received to his post, said: “I didn’t expect that at all I had faith and a lot of hope. I was completely blown away of how many people came forward.
“I cannot thank everybody enough for the generosity, kindness, and support I received in making my son’s birthday the memorable and magical experience that it was.
“Karl Yarham owner of High Standards scaffolding also helped putting a smile on Oliver’s face. He said he could not come at the meet but generously offered to come down in the morning and take my son out for a Lamborghini drive, which ticked my son’s bucket list.
I’m really grateful to him for doing so.”
Kevis wanted to also thank #tdd and Petrolheads UK, which are the car pages that re shared his Facebook post.
His 8-year-old son Theo and 3-year-old son Jacob also enjoyed the car show and had the opportunity to see a wide range of cars, including American style trucks, drift cars, high end cars and also a police car.
