A pub in Amersham has been featured in The 2023 Good Beer Guide.
The prestigious list is curated by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA), a consumer organisation for beer and pub enthusiasts.
Elephant and Castle, located on Amersham High Street, has appeared in the 50th edition of the book alongside 4,500 other establishments.
The pub was selected as one of the top 14 entries in the county out of hundreds of pubs.
General manager Colin Dixon said: “It is an honour for our wonderful pub to be featured in CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide and recognised for our amazing offering of real ale. To be selected as one of the final 14 pubs in our county is amazing. We provide the best real ales for our customers and look forward to welcoming guests on the hunt for real ales.”
The pub is a Grade II listed building dating back to the 17th century. It was originally a butcher’s shop before it was turned into a pub in 1911 by the first female innkeeper.
