Stanmore Choral Society has revealed its upcoming concerts ahead of the 2024/2025 season, as well as its plans to recruit new singers.
Taking place at St Mary the Virgin Church, the season will begin on Saturday, October 26. The Feel the Spirit concert will feature an uplifting programme of spiritual songs arranged by John Rutter and Undine Smith Moore, a West Side Story medley, and songs by composer George Gershwin.
On Saturday, December 14, residents can get into the festive spirit with the Christmas Concert, where the whole family can enjoy an afternoon of well-known festive favourites and Holst’s Four Old English Carols.
Then, moving into the new year, there will be a Handel in Stanmore concert in April, followed by concert titled A Land Without Music? in June.
In a post on social media, the choir said: “Stanmore Choral Society is actively recruiting for new members in all voice parts. No prior experience is necessary, just a love of singing!”
Rehearsals are held at St Marys Church in Stanmore. For more information, please visit www.stanmore-choral.org.uk
