PUBLIC CONSULTATION: Council drafts plan to improve cycling and walking routes in the Chalfonts

Published on: 5th October 2024   |   By: The Newsdesk   |   Category: Uncategorized

Buckinghamshire Council is asking residents in The Chalfonts and Gerrards Cross to share their views on a draft Local Cycling and Walking Infrastructure Plan (LCWIP).

The LCWIP aims to develop a future network plan for all road users that will expand upon existing routes and networks, identify priority locations, and improve connections between towns and villages.

Public drop-in events will be taking place for residents to find out more. This includes a drop-in at Aylesbury Market from 9am to 2pm on Friday, September 27; and one at Buckingham Market from 10am to 4pm on Tuesday, October 1.

Up to £1million could be spent in The Chalfonts and Gerrards Cross if proposed plans go ahead.

Have your say before the deadline on Sunday, October 13, at yourvoicebucks.citizenspace.com/planning/buckinghamshire-lcwip-consultation

Following the consultation, the LCWIP will be presented to the council cabinet for approval and adoption in 2025.
