When the Northwood Ninjas are not scoring points, steering clear of the three-second rule, or plotting their next tactical move, they are busy donating old kits to netball teams around the world.
Following a rebrand in 2025, the club launched a new kit to mark the change. As part of the initiative, the previous kit was generously donated by parents and sent to another netball team based in South Africa.
The club said the donation forms part of its long-term sustainability plans, with a focus on ensuring kit reuse and redistribution can be extended to more teams.
As the Ninjas begin 2026, preparations for upcoming league fixtures, junior development sessions and competitions are underway, with the possibility of a future visit to the South African team also being considered.
Speaking to NORTHWOOD&RUISLIPnews Hollea, club chairman, commented: “We are so pleased our old kit can be reused rather than ending up in landfill. Ninjas Netball Club is proud to support netball clubs in other countries that are in need of help.”
