A Kings Langley resident living on Railway Terrace has expressed concern over speeding drivers on his road.
The resident, who wishes to remain anonymous, moved into the area at the end of last year and says the issue has been ongoing since the week he moved in.
He says he has contacted Highways a total of 31 times – 13 calls and 18 emails – and “no action was taken to sort out speeding traffic”.
He describes motorists driving at more than 50mph.
The concerned resident said: “The cars and bikes drive past the new-build block on the Railway Terrace/Lakeside Avenue entrance along the straight at stupid speeds in excess of at least 50mph.
“In July 2022, a young boy was struck by the wing mirror of a speeding show-off Land Rover, although he just got up and got back onto his bicycle. He was very lucky.”
A spokesperson for Highways said: “This location has not been identified as a hazardous site, due to a lack of personal injury collisions. However, speeding enforcement is a matter for the police so any incidents of this nature should be reported to the police.”
