A Slice of Happiness, a project of Watford and Three Rivers Trust, is offering free support for residents suffering from difficult emotions during the lockdown.
Hertfordshire residents who are experiencing stress, anxiety, depression or grief can access the free A Slice of Happiness Wellbeing Spa, which uses a positive thinking approach through the three principles of mind, consciousness and thought.
Watford and Three Rivers is the first area in the UK to be supported by the NHS to deliver this new approach in a community setting. Herts Valleys Clinical Commissioning Group has allocated £7,800 to support the W3RT programme, A Slice of Happiness. Founder Caroline Powell believes this is a huge breakthrough in the mental health sector.
Caroline told RickyNews: “Although the Wellbeing Spa is online at the moment due to restrictions, there is still a human connection that unfolds within the group. It’s really empowering, people have conversions through personal insights, metaphors, stories, facts and truths.”
The next Wellbeing Spa begins on January 28 and includes a six-week programme of group sessions, with access to specialists and online support. It takes place every Thursday from 10am-2pm on Zoom.
Caroline from Chorleywood founded ASOH in 2017 after experiencing homelessness and abuse in her own life. After reading The Enlightened Gardener, a book by philosopher Sydney Banks, she was introduced to the Three Principles approach and transformed her way of thinking. She wants to inspire others to do the same through the programme.
