The Military Wives Choir wowed audiences at St Albans Cathedral with a special 10th anniversary concert on Saturday, June 18.
Over 200 members from over 15 military choirs in the area, and some from overseas, gathered together for the performance, commemorating 10 successful years for the charity, which brings women in the military and with connections in the armed forces together through singing.
Led by artistic director Hilary Davan Wetton, the choir were supported by a diverse arrangement of musicians, including Lucy Weston and Sean Hargreaves, with a special appearance from soprano and Military Wives ambassador Laura Wright.
The concert celebrated the uplifting work the charity has done as a whole, the nationwide organisation inspiring TV shows, a feature film and even earning a number one single in 2012.
The charity are especially happy to return to rehearsing and performing, after the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The concert was the first in a series of concerts taking place throughout the country to commemorate the tenth anniversary of the charity. To find out more, visit www.militarywiveschoirs.org/
