Chiltern Open Air Museum (COAM) have launched Accompanied Walks for residents aged 65 and over, who have not managed to venture outdoors much or interact with other people.
The museum, located in Chalfont St Giles, is inviting individuals for a walk with a COAM volunteer on Tuesdays and Thursdays during September and October.
Drinks will be provided and help with transport can be arranged, all free of charge for a limited number of visitors.
The project, funded by the Shirling Trust, will give visitors the opportunity to enjoy a walk around the museum and learn about the 37 heritage buildings which are set in 45 acres of gardens, park and woodland.
People interested in joining can bring along a carer, friend or a dog if they need support.
Government guidelines on social distancing will also be followed.
If you’re interested in taking part in Accompanied Walks, contact Jacqui Gellman, COAM Outreach, outreach@coam.org.uk, 01494 871 117.
