SING ALONG: Singing sessions set up online by Kings Langley musician

Published on: 13th April 2020   |   By: Amneet Kaur   |   Category: Uncategorized

Kings Langley resident, Judith Silver has come up with a new way of keeping busy during lockdown.

Judith has set up communal singing sessions online for people to enjoy whilst they are at home due to the coronavirus outbreak.

She had also started and ran the North Watford Community Choir for six years, until July 2019, it was then disbanded so she could work on different projects.

Judith is inviting all former members of the choir to join these sessions, along with anyone else who is keen to connect during this time and has a passion for singing.

She also started Companion Voices about six years ago, Judith said: “I have been exploring ways for us to continue our groups online, so most local groups are also now meeting in this way for the moment.

“I’ve been using Zoom which like all the other similar platforms, does not allow for participants singing songs together – there are time delays.

“But over these weeks, through my own experimentation and with the support and suggestions of the brilliant Natural Voice Network, which I’ve been a member of for many years, I’ve developed a way of holding rewarding sessions which allow people to enjoy singing and seeing each other, keeping a vital sense of connection and community going in these strange times.”

Sessions will take place on Tuesdays from 7.30 pm to 9 pm, for more information please visit judithsilver.com/ or email info@judithsilver.com
